Security Marking your Bike or Scooter
We offer a simple yet highly effective deterrent to vehicle theft and cloning. How Does It Work?
The system use tamper proof labels and 'hidden' etching of a unique reference code on your bike, preferably on the engine, frame and major body panels. The etching only becomes visible under UV light while the labels can be attached in places where they are not immediately visible. The system includes your on-line access to the national database where the unique number is registered with your ownership details.

So What Do I do?
All you have to do is decide whether you want to purchase a pack from us and do it all yourself, or ask us to fit the labels and etching and update the database, perhaps whilst we are building and completing the pre-delivery inspection of your new machine.

The Retainagroup System protects your vehicle in three simple steps:
- The bike can be marked (etched) either by us, or yourself, with an overtly visible, permanent, unique code and the 24/7 contact telephone number of the International Security Register (ISR). The chassis, engine and bodywork can also be identified using state of the art laser and stencil systems or the 'ultra destruct' labels.
- Vehicle and owner details are recorded on the secure and confidential database, the ISR.
- The 24/7 manned ISR contact line (no answer machines or recorded messages) provides, via the Global Security Gateway, an all year round, immediate verification service for vehicle identity, rightful ownership and Police National Computer stolen vehicle status.
Combating cloning
Retainagroup security codes are highly visible and unique to each vehicle. Unlike VINs or Registration numbers, they are based on arbitrary numbers and letters and therefore cannot provide the would-be cloner with details about the identity of the vehicle or owner. The system cannot be cracked by the cloner. It is the simplest and most cost-effective way to combat this, the fastest growing type of vehicle crime in the UK.

Other Security Products
We also offer disc locks, security chains, ground anchors. Remember that any security product simply makes theft more difficult, not impossible. The use of security products should be balanced against the threat and likelihood of theft. So there are anumber of different products that may be used in different circumstances:
Disc lock
A strong lock that is secured to your front disc brake, making it impossible to wheerl your machine away. Suitable for short term such as parking while shopping, or situations of low risk of theft (inside a secured car park at work or college). There are even different levels of disc lock strength, choose the one you feel more comfortable with: Maxi Disc lock or simple disc lock
Lock and Chain
A strong lock and chain physically anchor your bike to something solid (either something structural like railings or bollard, or perhaps a ground anchor. Useful for when the bike will be parked overnight, or in higher risk situations (public, unmanned car parks, or on a quiet street). Again there are different levels of protection available, from a
simple cable lock
to a strong chain and lock combination.
