We don't need to tell you that fuel and transport costs have been rising at a sharp rate over the last few years, and even during the worst of the downturn in late 2008 they remained above 80 pence per litre, and now, August 2011, climbed to above £1.35 per litre and are still expected to rise.
Rail prices yet again are raised far in excess of inflation, and at the same time as wages remain stagnant and frozen. Your income is being squeezed more and more, and like most people you are looking for savings.
This is where inexpensive bikes and scooters come in. They are inexpensive to buy and cheap to run: It is likely the cost of a bike or scooter is less than your rail season ticket if you commute.

Parking
Parking can be nightmare - daily parking rates up and down the country appear to verge on the extortionate ... for cars! Most local councils look favourably on mopeds, scooters and motorcycles and impose little or no charge for parking them.
Congestion Charges
Congestion is a sad fact in cities and towns. And now the government has introduced the congestion charges in London, and may yet launch further schemes in other cities.
Scooters and motorcycles are exempt from the London congestion charge of £8.00 per day [£40.00 per week, over £2000 per year!] – they dont cause conjestion. Journey times can be halved by riding one of our bikes in comparison to cars or buses! And compared to cars, bikes and scooters have significantly lower carbon emissions!

Use of Bus Lanes
In London, Bristol and several other cities, the authorities have now understood the benefits of opening bus lanes up to motorcycles and scooters. This greatly eases your journey and reduces time even more - please drive responsibly and safely in the bus lane though. Also, note that not every bus lane is approved for motorbike and scooter use so be sure to check the signs.
